The Orthodox service is mystagogy, a leading into the eternal mystery. One stands upright before God, spiritually and bodily. For this reason there are no chairs in the church. Through hearing and seeing, sacred gestures (the sign of the cross, bows, prostrations), and antiphonal chant, one takes part in the sacred event. Guidance for proper participation is available in the sanctuary.

If you are travelling from far away, it is advisable to call in advance, so that you do not happen to come on a day when the times are different.
